The further into this expansion we go, the easier the infinity-enveloping is to do. What's worse is that I actually don't think this stops the OP build at all. 50% more healing isn't going to be nearly enough to convince the vivify cleave build users to stay, they'll go back to spamming Essence Font like mistweavers have been forced to do most of the expansion. Instead, they killed the talent and with it not just the overpowered infinity-enveloping build (which definitely needed to go) but also the vivify cleave build.

The problem wasn't the talent, it was Enveloping Mist. While I see why Blizz did this, they should have taken a different route to nerfing it. Even if you overhealed content you could still take up so much healing with this strat it made it look like you vastly underhealed instead. Non monks hps output was directly tied to how well the monk could perform this new healing style. Instead this style healed so much and so quickly it was as it other healers decisions didn't matter. In an ideal world healer outputs would be similar and your decision making on all healers should be reflected in the output assuming limitless healing potential.

Thanks for giving us false hope that the spec was going to be at least a bit comparable to the MoP/WoD version that we so loved. That's the problem, not the talent itself. The only thing Blizzard had to do was nerf it for Enveloping Mist only. Way to kill the other playstyle using this talent that didn't require insane amounts of haste and wasn't nearly as overpowered, namely the Renewing Mist/Vivify cleave healing build. It's still viable (maybe even more so with the healing increase?) it's just gonna require you to manage and reapply your HoTs a bit more.
